Information We Collect

We do not require you to create an account, sign up, or provide any personal information to use this site. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message. Hosting and third-party services also process request data as described below.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to measure page visits and a small number of actions, such as using search, displaying a calculator result, or clicking an external resource. It does not use analytics cookies. Vercel processes usage information including page paths, referral information, device/browser details and approximate location. See Vercel's analytics privacy documentation.

Our analytics filter removes query strings and fragments from page URLs. It suppresses events when the browser's referring URL contains either, because that separate field cannot be redacted through the analytics filter. Custom events use a fixed set of tool or section names; they do not include search text, calculator answers, income, or external link destinations. The site does not load Google Analytics.

Calculations and search matching run in your browser. Search terms appear in shareable search URLs, so they can be present in browser history and requests to our hosting service, including its request logs. The analytics filtering above does not remove information from those requests. Avoid entering names, case numbers or other personal details in search. Calculator answers are not included in our analytics events or search URLs.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Cookies

This site itself does not set cookies. However, third-party services such as Google AdSense may set cookies on your browser. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings.

The reentry checklist saves answers and checked steps in this browser's local storage only when you choose its remember option. Its code does not upload those answers. Uncheck that option or use Clear checklist and saved data to remove its saved copy; the clear button also removes old checklist storage. Other people using the same browser may be able to read saved data. Clearing browser storage does not delete paper or PDF copies you made.

Embedded Videos and Hosting

Video thumbnails may load from YouTube when a page is viewed. Opening a video loads a YouTube player, which can process request information and use its own storage or cookies. Our hosting provider processes network requests needed to serve the site, such as requested URLs, IP addresses and browser headers.

Third-Party Links

Our site contains links to external websites (government agencies, employers, legal resources, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
