How the checklist works
Select any of 15 topics, from housing and employment to record clearing, healthcare, and family support. Each topic has a concrete starting point, preparation notes, and questions to take to the relevant agency or provider. You choose which topic appears first. You can edit your selections or print the result; this tool does not determine what you qualify for.
What does selecting a state change?
The optional selector includes all 50 states and D.C. It adds state reading links for record clearing and documents, and a sample of available housing city guides. It does not check local vacancies or determine which law governs your case. If your case or order comes from another jurisdiction, use that jurisdiction's current instructions.
The site has 359 company hiring guides and housing guides for 144 cities. These counts describe our reading library, not confirmed job openings or available apartments.
Where are my selections kept?
In this page's memory. The checklist tool does not save selections to browser storage or submit them. Its resource links open other pages, and normal site visits are covered by our privacy information. A printout or saved PDF is a separate copy. Closing the page does not erase browsing history or copies you made.
Can I use it without JavaScript?
The interactive builder needs JavaScript. The help contacts and the expandable topic guide list remain available without it.
